Don’t Be TAGGED

fight-domestic-violence-shirtDon’t Be TAGGED is more than just an acronym, it’s a message to help victims of domestic violence realize that they need to escape their situations before they further the statistics:

Every 1 in 4 women are victims.

It happens every 9 seconds.

In the United States, more than 5 million women are abused by an intimate partner each year.

Domestic violence can be defined as a pattern of behavior in any relationship that is used to gain or maintain power and control over an intimate partner. Domestic violence can happen to anyone of any race, age, background, socio-economic, education level, religion or gender. It can happen to couples who are married, living together or who are dating. The forms of abuse are listed in TAGGED but is not an exhaustive list.
